Welcome to our ‘how-to-make’ videos for families at home!
Our #Read2Make series promotes reading, literacy and art making.
The activities are aimed at KS2 children (age 7-11) and best enjoyed with recommended support from an adult or responsible, older sibling.
KS3 students (age 11-14) could do these activities independently.
There’s 5 videos in the series which are kindly commissioned by Hackney Libraries and part of their #MarvellousMondayMaking programme.

When and where to find the videos
Every Monday from 18th May, Hackney Libraries and Art Hoppers will publish one new video via social media using #MarvellousMondayMaking.
Keep an eye on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We’ll add the videos to this website each Monday too along with supporting downloads and info.
There’s 5 videos altogether. One p.wk over 5 weeks.
It’s all free so please share with friends and family – We’d love to reach lots of homes and spread the joy of reading and making.
The Project online
We’re incredibly grateful to Hackney Libraries for this exciting new partnership during the C-19 lockdown. It’s a purposeful lifeline for us to stay connected and share what we love doing best. Being a part of a community!
We’ll be bringing children’s books to life through art making, showing you how to make beautiful 2D and 3D artworks inspired by much loved classics including ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.
