1st Draft of Ideas to Develop

The following are just initial concepts/ideas that need developing and evolving; please look at them with an open mind. Be inspired!

0.- LEAP

Following the evolution of LEAP as agreed in meeting…

1.- FLASH

Federation for Learning and Arts in Schools of Hackney

This may be a little too ‘frivolous’, but worth mentioning

Please note the accompanying images are just referential and far from the possible final logo

2.- AGORA

The Agora (/ˈæɡərə/; Ancient Greek: Ἀγορά Agorá) was a central public space in ancient Greek city-states. The literal meaning of the word is “gathering place” or “assembly”. The agora was the centre of the athletic, artistic, spiritual and political life of the city.[1] The Ancient Agora of Athens was the best-known example.

Reinforces the idea of a group, discussion, democracy, creativity, shared experience…

It really fits its purposes, but there are few companies out there with this name

Please note the accompanying images are just referential and far from the possible final logo

3.- STEP

Learning is a progressive journey, step by step; one step a time…

Reinforces the idea of a going up, learning, growing; it has a positive message, reflecting the role of the schools

We really like this one, although has been used a lot applied to young children (also as in Student Transition Education Programs (STEPs))

Please note the accompanying images are just referential and far from the possible final logo

4.- LEAF

Learning, Education, Arts Federation

A seasonal organic concept, related to education, children learn that leaves produce oxygen through photosynthesis; the air we breathe!

Could we play with the idea of a leaf in a book? Perhaps the word leaf accompanied with the image of an open book would make for an interesting contrast…?

Please note the accompanying images are just referential and far from the possible final logo

More evolutions of the LEAF concept >>>

5.- LEAP

Learning, Educational & Arts Partnership

A step forward on learning; be prepared to plunge into the next step! A strong concept.

But we need to be aware this is a popular branding, which means competing with similar logos and websites. We have to find an original voice (look and feel) for this concept

Note the ‘wink’ to river Lea on the handmade version of the logo…

I think the river works. The a needs to be in another don’t so it is c with a line down the edge.
