Plant ‘n’ Bloom!

Join us at Rich Mix on Easter Sunday to celebrate spring and enjoy creative, family fun. You’ll be decorating plant pots and sewing seeds to take home … Make tissue paper flowers and bundle them into a beautiful bouquet for someone special too.

We’ll provide the materials, you apply the creative touches. We’ve got resources for 40 participants, that includes a mini terracotta plant pot, some seeds to plant in soil, plus enough tissue paper, wire and ribbon to make a bunch of flowers each – Learn to make daffodils, daisies and tulips with tissue paper – Everything you make is yours to take away and the activity is free to attend!

The flower making requires dexterous fingers, these simple techniques are easy to follow but take a little of care and patience to make. Younger children can still have fun with the materials and there’s always room for creative experimentation and new ways of making!

Plant ‘n’ Bloom! is part of Rich Mix ‘Everyone A Maker’ family programme. These events get busy so please book online via the Rich Mix website, or call Rich Mix Box Office on t: 020 7613 7498 to firm up your participation on the day.

Plant ‘n’ Bloom! is a workshop with guidance offered on how to make the various items. Please arrive at the start (1pm) to see the moves which will put a spring in your step.

Surreal times called for #SurrealArt during our art & #Wellbeing play-scheme @GayhurstE8. Mirrored paint splodges opened up exciting conversations with children around the images & feelings they evoke. Insightful ideas shared. Thanks all for a fun wk! https://t.co/s5Deh4Qm1m https://t.co/jNZBAwPHjX

@hackneylibs: Creative people, make your own Shakespearean theatre just like #Hackney's the Theatre and the Curtain Theatre with this video from @ArtHoppers. All you need are a few things from around the house! https://t.co/h3tUgzdgxy @HackneySociety @HackneyMuseum #FestivalofArchaeology https://t.co/woyXqcpWFY
